Chapter 1: The Writer's Dilemma
Recently, I've been grappling with a question that weighs heavily on my mind: Is writing merely a passing hobby for me, destined to fade away like many of my past interests, or could it evolve into something more enduring?
Am I truly capable of honing my skills and excelling in this craft? I often find myself questioning whether my abilities are genuine or if I'm simply receiving hollow praise. It’s a thought that frequently crosses my mind—am I actually skilled at writing?
My passion for writing is undeniable! Each morning, I eagerly grab my coffee and settle onto my couch, excited to check my Medium app. I find myself curious about the reactions to my last piece: How many claps did I receive? Were my friends impressed? What new articles have my peers published today? My admiration for Medium runs deep, but I wonder if this enthusiasm is sufficient to pursue my dreams fully.
I've discovered that I am more drawn to blogging than to crafting lengthy narratives. If I'm honest, I don't enjoy writing or reading long stories. Poetry resonates with me deeply; themes of love and darkness tend to inspire my verses. Additionally, I cherish personal narratives that convey genuine emotions or humor.
Section 1.1: Assessing My Skills
How proficient must one be to desire more from their writing journey? I'm not inclined to enroll in countless online workshops titled "How To This" or "How To That."
I have a treasure trove of ideas and believe my writing is steadily improving. Is that enough? Is my hesitation merely a lack of self-confidence, or do I possess the talent necessary? The real question is: How proficient must a person be to write a book? That's the million-dollar question!
Chapter 2: Financial Considerations
Another pressing question looms in my mind: What are the financial implications of publishing a book? Who can provide a rough estimate? I seek clarity on what expenses I should anticipate. What does the entire process look like financially? Is it feasible for the average person? While this isn’t my biggest concern, it’s certainly something I ponder.

Scrambling Ideas in My Mind
I currently have three solid concepts for a book:
- An Erotic Storybook: Imagine a 'Daily Dirty Devotional' featuring short erotic tales. For those who appreciate erotica, this could be a hit—no lengthy narratives, just brief and engaging reads under five minutes.
- A Poetry Collection: I envision curating my poetry into a book, categorizing it into themes like love, healing, and mental health.
- A Memoir: This idea resonates with me the most—sharing my personal experiences as 'The Other Woman.' If you’ve read my Medium piece on this topic, you can expect an extended version that delves into the complexities, emotions, and learnings from a 25-year journey filled with love, shame, and healing.

Thoughts and Reflections
I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or feedback from my followers. I'm eager for constructive criticism and guidance.
Am I aiming too high, or perhaps being overly cautious? Should I push myself to pursue my dreams, or am I allowing self-doubt to hold me back?
I recognize that these aspirations won’t materialize overnight. It's a gradual journey of growth, but do we ever truly stop evolving?
Please feel free to reach out and share your thoughts! Thank you for taking the time to read my reflections!
